Nassim Diafat discusses with UN Resident Coordinator the level of cooperation

The Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of micro-enterprises, Nassim Diafat reviewed with the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Algeria, Alejandro Alvarez, the level of cooperation that unites his ministerial services and the various United Nations agencies in Algeria, as well as the projects launched and in the process of being launched.

This meeting took place during a courtesy and work visit made by Mr. Alvarez to Mr. Diafat, according to a press release from the ministry delegated to the Prime Minister in charge of micro-enterprises.

The two parties reviewed “the level of cooperation that unites the services of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of micro-enterprises and the various United Nations agencies in Algeria, while emphasizing the projects launched or those being launched, as well as the challenges they face,” the statement read.

Mr. Diafat discussed, during this meeting, the importance of the micro-enterprise and entrepreneurship sector in the national economy, “through the reforms carried out by the Government in this area and which aim to meet the challenges faced by young project leaders”.

According to the delegated ministry, Mr. Alvarez expressed the “great interest that the United Nations attaches to this sector, being a vital sector that fulfills an important role in the national economy”.

The same official also affirmed that the various United Nations agencies “are ready to support the various projects supervised by the services of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of micro-enterprises”.
